Toledo, Ohio … June 2, 2011 – Heidtman Steel, a leading North American supplier of steel products and services, has announced that it has placed an order for a new hydraulic leveler from The Bradbury Company for insertion into its Cleveland .625” pickling line. According to Greg Glenn, vice president of Heidtman Steel Products Eastern Region, the technology will bring significant product quality improvements to materials run through the line. “We are excited to finally move forward with this project,” Glenn explained. “This upgrade has been in the works for some time and will enable us to provide a superior product to our customers in regard to flatness, shape and surface.”
The total cost of the upgrade will be approximately $700,000, and is scheduled to be completed by December. The leveler will accommodate a minimum thickness of .075 with a maximum of .250 up to 65KSI. It will feature width capabilities of 21" to 72" and a 5 HI configuration to enhance surface quality. CB “Brownie” Cox, senior sales advisor/leveler specialist, expressed “We are pleased that Heidtman has chosen Bradbury for this upgrade. We anticipate they will see five times I unit improvement from incoming to outgoing product.”
Specifically, the line is a Bradbury 4.0" 11-roll Auto-Selective™, Hydraulic Pull-Through Leveler. It will feature a 5 HI configuration to enhance surface quality. The line will be upgradable in the future with Bradbury’s patent-pending e-Drive technology. For more information, contact Mike Kruse at 800-521-9531 or log on to heidtman.com.
