Merging of Heidtman 630 Lavoy and 640 Lavoy (Bedford) locations

The Heidtman Steel 630 Lavoy Rd. location is formally being merged with the adjacent 640 Lavoy Rd. location to create a single operating entity. This complex will be referred to internally as the Bedford location. By combining these facilities that share a common campus, Heidtman is eliminating redundant interplant functions, facilitating single invoicing for processing customers, and will realize better utilization of personnel.

The two plants have informally operated as a single unit since January 2009 under a common plant manager. The merger officially took effect on June 14, 2010.
